What makes a good WordPress website design company?
Look for custom themes rather than page builders, published prices, real sites you can click through, and direct access to the people doing the work. If a proposal cannot name who will build your site, keep looking.
Can you fix or take over an existing WordPress site?
Yes, rescues are a speciality: slow sites, hacked sites, builds abandoned by other agencies. We audit what exists, tell you plainly what is worth keeping, and take over hosting and maintenance from £50 a month.
Why do you avoid page builders?
Builders like WPBakery and Elementor load their whole toolbox on every page, which is why builder sites are slow, and they lock your content into their shortcodes. A custom theme does only what your site needs and stays editable in plain WordPress.
Can you take over a site someone else built?
Yes, it is a large part of our work. We start with a health check, then either maintain what exists or quote a rebuild if the foundations are not worth keeping.
Will my content survive a redesign?
Yes. Pages, posts, images and, critically, your URLs and rankings all carry over. Anything that must change gets a redirect.
Do I need lots of plugins?
No. A well-built WordPress site needs roughly 8 to 12: SEO, forms, caching, backups, security and little else. More than 20 is usually a symptom.
